• I have found myself reaching out more in those ways and it’s been positive.
• I would encourage anyone whose on a trail where there’s not that many people that they engage
with each other in that way (with full names). Because I just think that when the emergency situations happen, we’ve gotta have some information.
•I started to understand that there could be this connection between recreation and conservation.
• What’s important is that we get to have some really beautiful spaces in this country that we preserve forever.
• I really found that on the Appalachian Trail or the Pacific Crest Trail or whatever. It doesn’t really matter. That these people were so engaged and so loving to each other that I felt like that was the most important part of backpacking. That these people were like this. And I think they are. I believe they are. And I honestly think it’s going to change the world.
• It’s gonna be fun most of the time. And some of the time, it’s not gonna be fun.
• It’s important that we have this amazing beautiful country and that we can preserve some of this.
