THRU HIKING WISDOMS
THRU HIKING
• I not only really, really wanted to do it. I felt like I had to do it and that by doing it there was something that I had to gain to become a better version of myself. It was part of whatever my growth journey was going to be.
• My head game and what I thought I could do and was capable of, I figured my body would just kinda get in line with it.
• With anything, you're body is awesome. Your body with adapt to anything you start doing. And it's going to take a little bit of time, but it'll become what you need it to become.
• My headspace and the negative thoughts I had and the perception I had of it made it even harder than it physically going to be anyway. And it might have been a lot easier if my head would have been in a different place.
• I think anyone can really, truly do it. I think it's just you have to want it and work on having your headspace right.
• Even the bad days on trail were better than the best days in the office.
• In a way, I thought that by hiking the trail I'd be like hiking home to myself.
• One of the greatest gifts the trail gave me was it gave me my body back.
• I think my struggles on the trail were usually just things I brought with me or things that I needed to overcome personally like inside myself.
• I felt so strong and capable and confident in myself. And I think it showed, just every day I felt so good and happy to be there.
