• When you touch trail, there’s nothing like that… the step into the unknown.
There’s only a couple moments in life that we get that option… where we’re pointing in one
direction and we’re just going to see what happens.
• I try to keep myself guessing and keep changing it up. Keep pushing my own personal boundaries cause if I do that for myself then somethings going to happen. Something’s going to change.
• That made me the person I am right now. It build in not only the idea of adventure, but the idea to travel and experience life and culture in other parts of the states,
• I’ve very happy with minimal items in my life now and that trail really taught that to me.
• I will go have that experience because I have no idea what’s going to happen on the other side of that experience and that’s the way I feel thru hiking is. Every second of every day.
• I don’t know anyone whose ever left a long distance trail and not felt like they could accomplish any of their dreams. Or anything they wanted to do.
• I always recommend just having a little bit there. A few extra bars in your pack when you get to town.
• If you’re eating and your bodies engine’s really not turning on, that’s when you have to get up. You have to leave….If you can’t get warm, the only answer that I’ve felt works for me is just getting up and walking.
• If you can remind yourself that you ARE doing it and owning that spot.
• The biggest thing I took away from trail was when I started realizing where I am in life.

• When you actually buy into it and start believing in yourself, that you are capable of what you’re doing, it’s game changing!
